What is the difference between Shared and Private houseboats?
On a Shared houseboat (like Royal Waves or Vembanad Queen), you book your own private, lockable air-conditioned bedroom with attached modern bathroom, while sharing the common upper sun deck and dining salon with other guests—making it exceptionally cost-effective. On a Private houseboat, the entire vessel, captain, engine pilot, and live chef are exclusively reserved for your family or group.
How does the 25% deposit payment work?
To lock in your dates, you only pay a 25% advance via UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) or bank transfer. We issue your official booking confirmation voucher immediately. The remaining 75% balance is paid directly at check-in when boarding your boat.
What are the standard check-in and check-out timings?
For overnight cruises, check-in is at 12:00 PM at Finishing Point Jetty, Alleppey. Cruise runs through Vembanad lake and village canals until sunset at 5:30 PM, when the vessel docks for dinner. The next morning includes breakfast cruising before checkout at 9:00 AM. Day cruises operate from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Are all meals included in the price?
Yes! Every overnight booking includes a welcome tender coconut drink, traditional Kerala lunch with Karimeen pearl spot fry, evening high tea with hot banana fritters (pazham pori), candlelight dinner (chicken curry, chapati, rice), and morning hot breakfast (appam or idli with stew). Vegetarian, Jain, and customized menus are readily accommodated upon request.
