Frequently Asked Questions

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 12:00 PM and check-out is at 9:00 AM the next morning. From 5:30 PM to 8:00 AM the boat stays anchored. Kerala rules do not allow houseboats to cruise at night, because local fishermen set their nets on the water after dark.

What's included in the price?

The whole houseboat for your group, with its own 3-member crew: a captain, a chef, and an engine driver. All meals are included: welcome drink, lunch, evening tea with snacks, dinner, and breakfast. Clean bed linen, towels, and life jackets are provided on board.

What food is served on board?

Fresh Kerala home cooking made by your chef on board. Lunch is rice with fried Karimeen (pearl spot fish) and regional curries. Dinner is chapati with dal, vegetables, and chicken curry. Breakfast is appam, idli, or puri. Vegetarian and Jain menus are available.

Is the houseboat air-conditioned?

Deluxe houseboats have AC in the bedrooms from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Premium and Luxury houseboats have bedroom AC on demand full-time from check-in to check-out.
